I still love playing in the water and with the xylophone at the Discovery Museum... we had a blast that day - geared me up for the three hour nap that followed :)
Ok... so we admit, we are a little behind on the blogging this month. We've had two very talented photographers come visit, however, so we have a lot to work with. Thank you Erica and Grandpa Ken!
We have to thank Erica for this great shot, and the many that accompanied it. It is from my first birthday (June 6th). She is also to be credited for the ones below of me in the rain this past weekend. Thanks, Erica! Love, Xander
It really came down for the first time during the last few days... very fun for me to discover as I love being outside and anything having to do with water...
Last Sunday we went to Terra Firma, an organic farm about an hour away from our home. We went with the Tobins (all four of them!). My favorite parts were picking strawberries and chewing on sticks.
While most of the Bay Area was buried in fog yesterday, we went to Sam's, a restaurant on the water for some last licks of this Indian Summer. We also celebrated with our friend Rick who has had some major professional triumphs in recent days. Congratulations Rick!
This past weekend, Mom and I were up and out early on Saturday. She took me to a little beach in Tiburon - the first time I have been to the Bay on my own two feet. I loved it there. Mom actually has a great video that accompanies these pictures, but YouTube won't take it right now. We'll post it later.
When Mom came home from her trip, we all went down to Stanford to see the womens' soccer team work their magic. It was a great day with Papa Reed, Uncles Beau and Kuran, Aunties Page and Nikki - and of course Mom and Dad. Here I am having fun with stickers and enjoying the great day!
Well, we are all hitting the road for a little while. Mom is going to Salzburg for a week for work and Dad and I are going on a road trip to visit with friends in Long Beach. Here is a shot of me getting excited this morning. See you next week! Love, Xander.
Here I am with Dad learning two tongue tricks: (1) how to stick it out and (2)touching my nose with it. This made my mom CRAZY! Dad says it is a "Mak thing."
Hi!
My name is Xander Reed Mak. I was born on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 - a full fledge Gemini & [Golden] Pig. My parents tell me my arrival has been highly anticipated - Sorry to keep everyone waiting :)
I arrived a full ten days late. All that extra womb time fattened me up to 9 pounds, 4 ounces.
Anyway you keep up with me on my Blog. My parents will keep it updated with all exciting developments.
Thanks for stopping by,
Xander
